Joy
By Estelle Nazary
These things have I
spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be
full.
John 15:11
Then he said unto
them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto
them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither
be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10
Circumstances and events may be against us, but it we
abide in Him, the Holy Spirit will make us joyful. A worrying Christian is a misnomer. Do you have the Lord? If you do, then rejoice in the Lord. There is
not a single verse in the Bible that will permit a child of God to worry. Joy is strengthening to the spiritual life,
but sadness and worry paralyze the soul, rendering it too weak to face up to
life’s problems. The distraught and
downcast Christian soon becomes to weary in the work of the Lord. You worry only when you refuse to yield to
the Holy Spirit.
